It's been a while since we last posted on our social media pages.

Here's a project we did for a residential home in Provident Village, Marikina City which features a high ceiling that opens from the second floor to the third floor of the house. We highlighted this feature by incorporating materials such as fluted wall claddings and oversized porcelain tiles that would appear grandiose once installed as a collective piece. To make it more interesting, we added a chandelier that descends from the third floor down to this home's second floor level.

Not every bedroom is built with a symmetrical wall.

In this project, our client wanted to fit a king size bed for their master bedroom. However, one of the challenges we encountered during the space planning was that the wall, which is the ideal place for the bed’s headboard, is not centered on the overall width of the room making one side of the walkway space tighter.

By applying asymmetry, we were able to place the bed in the center of the room’s overall width. Uneven elements were incorporated on each side of the headboard, yet visual balance was maintained.

Incorporating simplicity, natural elements, and the Japanese Wabi-Sabi aesthetic together with a minimalistic, light and airy atmosphere. These are the approved 3D visualizations for the living room of a Japandi inspired 2-bedroom condo project we are currently working on in Baguio City.

One of the challenges we saw in this project is the lack of windows in the living area which makes the space appear a little confined. That is why we decided to add a cluster of framed mirrors in one of the walls that would not only give an illusion of a bigger space, but would also appear as an illusion of a window opening.

A 21 sqm studio condo unit project in Victoria De Manila 2. A straightforward design that is tailor fitted to our client's requirements. Just waiting for the contractor to do some final cleaning of the unit, then we can start dressing it up with some furniture and accessories.

Keeping a minimalist approach to this sleep area. 💤

Check out our previous post to see what’s across the wall divider.

For this sleep area, we wanted to create a space wherein our client will be comfortable to move around the room.

Here are the design solutions we came up for this room:
▫️Biggest item inside the room is the bed. To save space, we made it also into a storage for bigger items like linens, luggages, etc.
▫️Wall-mounted night lamp w/ USB charger near the bed
▫️Open shelving above the bed
▫️Tall cabinet that reaches the ceiling to maximize space and eliminate dust collection on top of the cabinet
▫️Fold-away study table near the window so that if the table is not in use, it can be put away and there’ll be added space inside the room
▫️Full-length mirror and hanger space

A multifunctional living and dining area for a 21 sqm studio unit.

The second space behind the glass door is the sleep area which we separated with a low partition and glass panels. We also added a storage space on top to maximize the space.

One of the major challenges in designing a small studio unit is providing a comfortable movable space while ensuring there are enough storages to keep the room organized.

For this area, we added some overhead storage above the sofa, ottomans which functions as a center table and storage, and a fold-away dining space below the TV.

“THE YOUNG ONES”

This is the atmosphere our client wanted for this sky lounge area on top of a dorm building.
Who wouldn’t want to live in this dorm? 🕺

Check out the last photo which is the top view layout of this project.

As requested by our client, they wanted two areas for the students. One area for lounging and another one for dining. On the left side, we have the lounge area where students can chill and hang out by the water fountain. On the right side, we have an area where they can dine near the pantry area which also features a grill. In the middle, we placed the location of the band for their music nights. 🎶

Our initial proposal for an industrial themed student dormroom hallway.

Design becomes more effective when it is done as a collaboration with the designer and the client. For this project, our client requested a few revisions so the hallways would match the interiors of the dormrooms.

With this in mind, we came up with a solution which then turned out better than the original proposal!

Just goes to show that good communication and collaboration can bring out the best results.✨

An all boys student hostel bedroom for three.

One of the main issues in sharing a bedroom with other people is when personal things get mixed up with others because of poor storage. To address this issue, we wanted to create a personal and comfortable place for each student while keeping the design cohesive and dynamic.

Here are some of the design solutions we did for this bedroom:

🔸Geometric paint design to create a visual division of each personal space
🔹A comfortable area for each student which features their own study desk, storage, and shelves
🔸Wardrobe area good for three people
🔹 Headboards w/c were used as a divider and storage
🔸 Shelving for shoes with hooks above alloted for three people

One of our main priorities when designing for bedrooms is making sure that there are enough storage space for each room. Aside from their wardrobes, we also added storage spaces under the bed and overhead cabinet shelves to maximize the space.

For this project, our client also requested that each bedroom has a comfortable area for a WFH set-up.

Interior Design Tip for small bathrooms / powder rooms:

▫️ Use light colors to make the room feel more spacious.
▫️ Add an accent wall to create depth and character to the space.
▫️Maximize storage by adding shelves, mirror cabinets, and lavatory cabinets.
▫️Use large scale mirrors to create an illusion of a larger space.
▫️ Go for multifunctional accessories.

Just a few touches to make this existing living area have a cozier feel. ✨

We added an accent wall, changed the light fixture into a ceiling fan for better air circulation, and chose a different seating layout to accommodate more guests.

Our clients wanted to retain the existing charm of this outdoor patio. By adding a few lights and extra storage space, we were able to make the space feel cozier and more functional.

When we first visited this attic space, there was a huge blue wall. We decided to take it down and put up a window so the beautiful stained glass in front of the wall can be seen from the attic. Once we removed the blue wall, we uncovered these nice balusters which coincidentally matched the overall look we wanted for the space. ❤️

See how we transformed this attic into 2 functional spaces. The first room will be used as a personal bedroom by the client’s son, while the other room will be used as a hangout space and extra sleeping area for visiting relatives. ✨

🤔 One of the major challenges we had for this space was the original design of the stairs had very narrow and high steps. Since the space was limited and we couldn’t adjust the allotted space of the stairs because of existing structures, we had to think of a creative idea to make it more comfortable to use.

💡 To address this, we opted to use goose step stairs which in turn provided a deeper stair tread and shorter heights, thus solving our major challenge!

✨ Goose step stairs are unconventional in terms of a formal set-up. But since this is a vacation home, it was the perfect addition to this modern rustic home. It added a unique experience and character to the home.

📺 We were also able to add a TV space and storage behind the TV making it more functional and effective. ✨
